Goldilocks Mountain View

Last Holy Week, Leila and I went to Goldilocks with high hopes only to find out that they were closed, lol. So we went to Jollibee in Great Mall.

Today, finally, we went back to eat of course Filipino food. Well, I was hungry so for me, the food was good. But the ambience and the people there, hmm....could improve way better. Let me start with the people. If I had to compare with Jollibee or Red Ribbon for that matter, most of the people who work there are Pinoys. But there's a huge difference. I suppose part of the Jollibee's thrust is having people who seem to "ooze" happiness or seem to look like they're happy doing their job. But those in Goldilocks, yikers! It felt like they were there because they had to and not because they wanted to.

While taking my order, the lady who was taking it actually answered a phone call and then promptly forgot about my order. To top that off, the cashier then rang up what was on my tray minus the chicken barbecue that I ordered. So I had to tell her that I ordered it and then she had to get it and heat it. She didn't look too happy nor did she look happy at all that there were people eating there at all. I suppose I am used to people smiling, after all, I am the customer and I'm spending my hard earned money there. But no, she wasn't smiling at all. She looked like she wanted to be anywhere but there. I wanted to tell her, "Gee lady, be happy that you actually have a job, a job here?" Maybe she should get a taste of what it's like to be jobless back home and have to feed a jobless husband and six children, lol.

Anyways, totally seemed such a sad place to be in. So we finished our food and were off. If I were a reviewer, they would totally fail in service and generally the people who work there. Who wants to go back at such as spirit-dampening place? I certainly don't want to! I'll opt to go to Great Mall in Jollibee or Red Ribbon. At least the people there look like they're happy to see people who buy from them, plus you can go shopping afterwards.

So let me sum up my "review" lol.

Service * out of *****
Food ***** out of *****
Ambience ** out of *****
Restroom **** out of *****

But then again, don't take my word for it. Go there. It's near Costco.
