Holy Week Special
For the rest of the Holy Week, I spent it either working or watching the videos that Larryh lent me.
Friends - Season 1 - Reminded me how old I am...hehehehe. Am I giving my age away? I can't believe how long its been. Looking at the hairstyles and clothes, its funny how the actors and actresses have changed over the years.
The Forgotten - Starring Julianne Moore and Dominic West. I thought Dominic West looked good. Hehehehe. It started pretty well, and I guess I got disappointed in the end. Sort of had an X-files feel to it if you know what I mean. Maybe I am jaded when it comes to extra terrestrial life and those things but I guess I still have that X-files hangover.
The End of the Affair (Julianne Moore, Ralph Fiennes) - I didn't quite get what Larryh said about it before but later on I did. Its funny how in dire straits we promise God that we'd do this and that. Finally, when we do get what we want, we sort of chicken out of the bargain or at least find some excuse not to do it. But this story, wow, she had the courage to try to stick to her promise.
Analyze That - This is the sequel to "Analyze This" with Robert de Niro and Billy Crystal. This quite funny but I can't compare it with the first one since I haven't seen it.
21 Grams (Sean Penn, Benicio del Turro) - When I first saw the title, I thought for awhile there that it was about drugs. Hmmm...must be because I watch way too many movies about drugs or has something to do with the fact that all we hear in the news nowadays are about drug busts, drug lords or something related to narcotics. Wow, I couldn't be more wrong. Although at some point there were references to drugs, that wasn't the main point of the story. Its quite confusing at first. The way that the story is told is sort of backwards with flashbacks so you have to be attentive or else you get lost somewhere along the way. Its quite tragic in the end and maybe a little dragging in the end. But I'll never forget what 21 grams means, and believe me, its not about how much the narcotics weigh.
The rest of the DVDs I will still find the time to watch. Hopefully before my vacation so I can return them to Larryh.
A documentation of my life, my whining and complaining about how unfair life seems to be...my hopes and dreams and aspirations...

Thank you, congratulations and good luck!
Another schoolyear has come and gone. Normally, I don't talk about work, but in this instance, I will talk about a little.
It has been a challenging teaching year. Every is really different and this year was no different. In my teachin year, its one that stands out. Last night, I was thinking of a theme for my teaching portfolio and I would say that this year is the "mostest." I know there's no such word but that basically exemplifies what this year is all about.
But, I'd still like to thank all my kids, 28 of them for being with me, through the good and the bad. And their parents for entrusting them to me. I will miss them but I am happy to see them move on to the next level. Congratulations and good luck!!!

Things to Watch
Today, after eating lunch, I rushed to SM to meet with Larryh to borrow some VCDs/DVDs. Sorry Larryh for being late ha. You know naman, I had no load and I was eating my lunch while you texted. I can be pretty slow when I have to dress up when I go out. I have this whole ritual thing going before I can go anywhere. Clean my face, put moisturizer, put face powder. Use deodorant of course (I don't want to unwittingly kill someone with BO) and Johnson and Johnson's baby powder. Then put on clothes. Aside from that, there's the hair to worry about. Should I tie it or leave it down? How do I tie it up? Lipstick before I go since I look pale. And there's the bag and things to put inside the bag. House keys, wallet, coinpurse, money and grocery list since I plan to do my grocery shopping too. No food in the fridge.
Finally, when I got out, traffic was bad. Luckily not that bag. Then I had to buy phone and internet cards just in case I need to call you. Then I had to load it to my phone and by the time I was done, I got your text. Finally, I went back to McDo's este, McDomeng ba sabi mo? And you weren't there. Call, call and called you but you didn't answer. Finally, you did and we saw each other. Sort of complicated ba? Hehehe. By the way, you and your brother looked very sweet HHWW. I thought he was your boyfriend. Thanks for the effort to see me and lend me the CDs. I'll try to watch all of them aside from working.
I checked the titles and I look forward to watching them. Probably, I'll keep the Korean novelas last but I'll try to watch them. Hopefully, my eyes won't pop out. Hehehehe.
Let's see what you lent me:
The Forgotten
The End of the Affair
Friends
The Classic (Why is that the title by the way?)
21 Grams
Analyze That
Gone with the Wind
Thanks Larryh and see you on Monday.

And the last but not the least, my coinpurse, house keys (I love the keychain), comb and some unopened payslips (I have opened them and filed them already). And another key that I accidentally brought home. Ooops, sorry about that. And that's the story about my handbag. What does it say about me ?What's in your bag?

The usual junk in my wallet. Of course, there's also a discount card, MRT prepaid card, ATM, credit card, medicard (as I mentioned before) and calling cards and other kinds of card. The yellow card is a reward for being a 5S model. I'm going to put it into my portfolio. After all, that rarely happens. Me, a 5S model? Hehehehe.

The usual stuff inside: wallet, credit cards, medicard, calling cards, prayer book and a crucifix given by my professor from Italy or was it France?

This is my wallet. Not the usual women's wallet. I have this fear that I get robbed or it gets stolen along with very memorable pictures. So I like to keep it small so I can easily stuff it into my pocket.

What's in the bag?
Its interesting what's inside a person's bag. Sometimes, there's not just one bag but several bags. There's the handbag and the paperbags to go with it. I for one am guilty of having a handbag and aside from that, a paperbag. It must be a security blanket and not necessarily that you need to bring it home. I usually end up not touching it at all. If I do, just to work on something for a few minutes and then its the TV that I spend the rest of the night with. I think its just a security blanket. It feels weird whenever I don't have another bag on my right hand.
When I was younger, I always loathed to leave my books in the locker. I woud rather lug around a heavy bag than leave it in school. It almost seems like I leave behind something important whenever my bag feels light. That must've been why I never grew up to be so tall...hehehe. And genetics too.
But I shouldn't feel alarmed that I lug around two bags. I know there's someone who has more bags than me...hehehe. Pax Papot!!!! :-)
So what is in the bag? In my paperbag, its mostly papers to check, umbrella, diskettes and my class record. On my handbag...well, a picture paints a thousand words...so look at the pictures that follow. (if they're not there yet, just wait awhile).

Sportsfest and Family Day
At last the Sportsfest and Family day is over!
We came in first runner-up since the Hearts and Stars team tied up for the over-all championship. There was no rule in breaking ties hence both teams were declared winners. Anyways, as long as we had fun...that's the purpose of it.
Go Laurels!!!!
