Holy Week Special

Holy Week Special

For the rest of the Holy Week, I spent it either working or watching the videos that Larryh lent me.

Friends - Season 1 - Reminded me how old I am...hehehehe. Am I giving my age away? I can't believe how long its been. Looking at the hairstyles and clothes, its funny how the actors and actresses have changed over the years.

The Forgotten - Starring Julianne Moore and Dominic West. I thought Dominic West looked good. Hehehehe. It started pretty well, and I guess I got disappointed in the end. Sort of had an X-files feel to it if you know what I mean. Maybe I am jaded when it comes to extra terrestrial life and those things but I guess I still have that X-files hangover.

The End of the Affair (Julianne Moore, Ralph Fiennes) - I didn't quite get what Larryh said about it before but later on I did. Its funny how in dire straits we promise God that we'd do this and that. Finally, when we do get what we want, we sort of chicken out of the bargain or at least find some excuse not to do it. But this story, wow, she had the courage to try to stick to her promise.

Analyze That - This is the sequel to "Analyze This" with Robert de Niro and Billy Crystal. This quite funny but I can't compare it with the first one since I haven't seen it.

21 Grams (Sean Penn, Benicio del Turro) - When I first saw the title, I thought for awhile there that it was about drugs. Hmmm...must be because I watch way too many movies about drugs or has something to do with the fact that all we hear in the news nowadays are about drug busts, drug lords or something related to narcotics. Wow, I couldn't be more wrong. Although at some point there were references to drugs, that wasn't the main point of the story. Its quite confusing at first. The way that the story is told is sort of backwards with flashbacks so you have to be attentive or else you get lost somewhere along the way. Its quite tragic in the end and maybe a little dragging in the end. But I'll never forget what 21 grams means, and believe me, its not about how much the narcotics weigh.

The rest of the DVDs I will still find the time to watch. Hopefully before my vacation so I can return them to Larryh.
