Almost Lost in Quiapo

Today, I had to go to Legarda again. Actually, I even forgot where the place was. I thought Recto, Arlegui, finally, it's Mendiola. Hehehe. Oh well. I don't go there often but now I had to to meet with my professor. I had to show her the revisions that I made and ask her to sign my letter.

I knew that I had to go to Quiapo but from there, couldn't picture where to go to. As usual, I asked my sister for directions, and being poor in spatial intelligence, it was difficult for me to picture it in my mind. But I took my chance.

I got off at Taft and from there took a jeep to Quiapo. I kept my eyes out for a possible jeep to transfer to go to Mendiola or at least to Legarda. I was lucky, I saw a jeep so I hailed it. I was worried that I would get stuck in the traffic in the long line where the G Liners were. But the jeep used the other side of the street. At least we didn't get stuck in traffic. It was not that far from Mendiola and before I knew it, I arrived in Mendiola.

Going back to Quiapo was a different story. Most of the jeeps that I saw were for Quiapo - Echague. I had no choice but to hail that and just thought I'd figure out what I'd do next when I got there. I thought they were going back the way that we went there but they turned a different way. It looked familiar. When I was in college, I would visit my sister who lived in Manila and took that jeep going to Quiapo. It looked different since it has been a long time since I went there but at least it was familiar. When I got to Quaipo, my problem was how to get to the other side. There was an underpass but it looked creepy. And I've heard horror stories about that place. Plus the fact that there weren't any people going that way. And that's surprising. I knew it was the last place I would want to be. I decided to take the overpass but it was farther. Better safe than sorry.

Finally, I got to the other side. And hailed a jeep going to Lawton. When I got there, I found a bus and it was only me and another passenger. Yes!!! I decided to sit close to the front of the bus. More passengers started coming in.

What annoyed me was this fat old man, who was really huge, decided to sit beside me. I can't think for the life of me why one would decide to sit with someone when there were a lot of empty seats in the bus. I couldn't stand it, I felt claustrophic and crowded so I stood up and looked for another seat. The f*ng bastard. May he rot in hell. Hehehehe. I was that annoyed.

I sat all by myself in the seat for 3 people. I placed my paperbag beside me on the seat. Another guy decided to sit beside but since the paperbag was there, he couldn't very well sit that close to me.

I was happy that I would go home early. It was around 12NN. But alas, my celebration was shortlived. We were there in Coastal road for like an hour. Some stupid people, probably in Cavite decided to do counter-flow. Probably to ease the traffic in Cavite. Those assholes. It wasn't the first time that that had happened. Last Saturday, it was the same thing only shorter, for about 30 minutes. We were so tired from sitting and waiting. We would've arrived in Las PiƱas earlier if not for that. What a waste of time and gasoline.
