Before, I would wake up late in the morning, check my email as soon as I am up and then spend most of the day online either surfing or reading or playing neopets. Then have lunch, take a shower, take a nap or while the time away by watching TV. Dinner, then more TV and then go online again. Either to make worksheets for work or just surf the net. Maybe read a few blogs here and there and maybe if I actually feel like writing something, write in my blog. Then its off to bed.
Since I started school again this June, my typical Saturday has changed. I wake up early to do my laundry. I want to do it Friday night so I can sleep longer in the morning. Since I feel too tired to do it Friday, I wake up early Saturday mornings, around 5:30 am or 6:00 am at the latest. I do laundry for an hour. Then have breakfast, shower and then dress up for school.
By 7:30 or 7:45 am, I am out of the house and going to school. If there is no traffic or the bus doesn't stay so long in the bus stop, I arrive in Baclaran and then hail a jeep going to the MRT.
Since I have a 100 peso card for the MRT, I breeze through the MRT station. Unless there's a line going in. I board the MRT at the first stop, in the Taft Station. Usually, I sit on the side where the door opens where I get off.
I arrive at Shaw Boulevard around 8:45 or 9 am in time for breakfast at McDonald's. I usually eat their longganisa meal with orange juice. Sometimes, I pass by Mercury Drug to buy vitamins if I run out or bottled water just in case I get thirsty. Then I board the jeep from Kalentong to Shaw and then get off at school.
I meet with my thesis adviser in her classroom. She has a Saturday class in the graduate school and in between the reports, I talk to her about my paper. My classmate Regina, also comes and we consult with her. If Frank comes by, it feels like a reunion. Frank has already finished his degree but he was our classmate once upon a time. We exchange stories about his work experience since he is a new teacher and other concerns that we have about school. Sometimes, we eat lunch in the canteen or go out of the campus to Chow King to eat lunch.
After that, I go home and arrive around 3 or 4 depending on the traffic. Then the cycle repeats again the weekend after. That's how my Saturday is going to be until the end of the trimester which is October. I'm looking forward to writing another typical Saturday for me. But in the mean time...
