Today, I had to go to Legarda before going to school. I asked my sister last night how I could go there but it seemed complicated going off a jeep and then another. I asked Laryh and she basically said the same thing. So, I ended up with going there the way that I knew how, and that is coming from my school.
I slept early last night so I could wake up early the next day. I woke up even before my alarm rang. I think it was only 5 am. Talk about early. I went back to sleep. I woke up again around 6 am and went back to sleep. I had 30 minutes to sleep. Finally, my alarm rang and I didn't hear it. I finally woke up around 7:10 am and I had to rush everything. My professor hated it when I was late for something and I wanted to be there either early or on the dot. Finally, when I got to Shaw Blvd., it was already 9 am. I only had an hour to go to her place. I tried to look for an FX taxi but it was full so took the chance on the jeep. As usual, I had bad luck. The driver was one of the unscrupulous ones who charged the two peso fare hike even without the fare matrix. Some drivers really take advantage and I hope they get their just deserts later on. Its not like they're going to get rich by doing that. And the worse part was inhaling the second hand smoke. He was the epitome of the bad driver. Overcharging and then killing you with second-hand smoke. He broke two laws since smoeking in public utility vehicles aren't allowed.
Anyways, I traffic was heavy along V. Mapa and also along Legarda too. I think the MRT is the fastest way to get there. Less traffic although you need to walk to go to Mendiola. Funny thing was, I also got stuck in the intersection before I would stop. Oh well. I hurriedly crossed the street and got there a few minutes before ten. My professor was also on her way to going down the stairs to meet me. Whew!!! At least I was on time. We finally talked about the paper and the things that I still need to do.
I was famished after all that so I decided to eat brunch at Jollibee. The lines were very long even at that time of the day and it was a Saturday. You'd think that students wouldn't be there. But I was wrong. It was teeming with students and the lines were very long. I still had patience left so I waited in line. I went upstairs to find an empty table but they were occupied. I decided to ask two girls who were seated if I could share their table. It was a long table. They said yes so I ate really fast.
Going back was much easier since I already knew what to do. I found an empty FX taxi this time. And it actually took me less time. Including brunch, I was there in 51 minutes. I proceeded to wait for Regina. After a few minutes she came and then we went to the library. And that's another story.
I know that other people, don't think its unusual to go to these places but for me. It is a big deal. I'm scared of getting lost and that fact that I didn't made me really happy. At least I'm not that bad with directions anymore. Hurray!!!
