Finally, I have over come the horrors of Heretic and succeeded in Hell's Maw. Just plain lucky and wise by using my Claw Orb and Ring of Invincibility. The secret I suppose is looking for the Ring of Invisibility so one could shoot at them creatiures while running around like crazy...hahaha. Then all of a sudden, I pressed a door which led to the end of the game. Alas, it was only then that I realized that the end of Hell's Maw is just the beginning of the city of the damned. I just wish that I could buy a registered version of Heretic. Then, I would be able to continue enjoying the secrets of the game. I am thinking of visiting a video game store just to check if they probably have a copy. But all that will come in time my fellow heretics.
