The End of April Part 2

Oh yeah, to actually claim my NBI clearance...ha ha ha, I don't want them throwing it away...after all, I had to sweat just to line up to get it...

The End of April

Just a couple of days more and then its the end of April...ho hum...what can I say? I think this month has been marked with rice shortages, increase in rice prices and gasoline prices soaring, not to mention the temperature.

Oh, and more global awareness stuff on TV, which is a good thing. And most of all, still not inspired to blog...hehehe, and I did finish my paper, yey!!! Now, the most difficult part, actually having the nerve to go to school so I can enroll for my defense, gulp...I'll wait til May...ha ha ha, I know procrastination, but who knows, maybe next week before May 1, I'll have the courage (gulp gulp) to ask about it....wish me luck!!!

Back to the NBI to renew my clearance again...

I was about to write again when I realized that I had started writing a few days back and never got around to continuing it. Anyways, I'll write about that later.

So today, I ended my enforced "hermitage" by going to PCSC to get my recommendation letter and then to the NBI Carriedo to renew my clearance for 2008. Prior to going there, my mom asked me to call the NSO Helpline (02 737 1111) about how they go about the whole process. The customer care person was patient enough to answer my queries and explained the details they needed such as name (of course), place of birth, etc. and the payment through Metrobank which would cost around three hundred pesos for one copy of a birth certificate. After my phone call, had a quick shower, breakfast and then I went to Pasay and then to NBI.

Going there was pretty easy and as I was lining up in Step 1, I was lulled into this false sense of security there weren't long lines...but boy, was I WRONG!!! When I went to the second floor, oh no....there were long lines everywhere. Lines at Step 2, more lines at Step 3 and even longer lines at Step 4. I saw on TV once, on a tv show at Net 25, I think it was Tribe that the best time to go there was around 3 pm...so WRONG!!!! The afternoon is like the worse time to be there...hehehe...the lines were horrendous in Step 5. I think even worse than those NFA lines that I see on TV. Luckily, I can skip fingerprinting since I'm only renewing and the line there wasn't long. Now, all I have to do is claim it on Monday...and I'll be sure to go there early to avoid the long lines...no more afternoon delights for me...hehehe...it was certainly no delight.

The New 7 Wonders

As usual, I was watching the news when I saw this feature on the new 7 wonders. I watched that before and wanted to vote but forgot the website...go figure...hehehe...but finally, I did my part and voted.

Accordingto today's, the nos. 1 - 3 positions are held by places in Vietnam, 4 - 6 Bangladesh and seventh for Amazon River. Hmmm...aw, come on...

"Let's volt in" mga tsong!!!

April is here...

So, did anyone take you for a fool yesterday? Well, I hibernated just to be sure. Ha ha ha. But all in all, it was a pretty productive day as I was able to actually write something down. And the same thing today too...yesh, progress!!! I found mi muse!!

Anyways, I'm hoping it will be the same tomorrow although I might not write as much as I plan to venture out of my cave and just relax at the mall. Maybe check out the rice prices. Gosh, I can't believe how much they've risen already. For those people who don't have to think about the cost of food because someone else buys it for you (help mom!!! hehehe) then you're lucky. I've already tried to cut down on rice and try out pasta. Yes, the rice person that I am. Plus I think its nice to go beyond your comfort zone once in awhile...I really can't get over that phrase even years from now, Ms. Lorie. So far, haven't experienced fainting spells from eating pasta as opposed to rice every meal. As long as I eat rice once a day, I should be fine.

What does get me is the heat. Lucky people who have to work ang get free AC at work. Ha ha ha. Times like these, I actually miss work. But anyways, hopefully, I will look back on these last few months when I'll be shivering with cold and actually wish I was back at home sweating. Ha ha ha. I can just be content by imagining myself to be a penguin in Antarctica.

Oh, I forgot to say congratulations to Mai...wow, you're going to graduate already and definitely, not maybe, conquer the world.

I wish I could say the same...maybe soon. Minus the marching and the toga, what's important is the transcript saying that I've completed my degree...hu hu hu.
