Shoe shopping

Today, after work, my friend and I, went to Landmark to do some shoe shopping. She had asked me weeks ago if I wanted to go shoe shopping and of course, I said yes. It's not because I love shoes, its because I wanted to find the right pair of shoes to go with my slacks. It wasn't the usual color that I was used to, black or dark blue or gray. It was khaki.

So off we went to Landmark after lunch in Glorietta. She wasn't kidding when she said that there were lots of shoes there. I've been to Landmark but that was probably the only time that I spent a lot of time just looking at shoes. We probably saw all the ladies shoes. Hehehe....We were there from one to three in the afternoon. After a while, you sort of feel numb from all the :shoe searching" that you do. Almost as if you feel overwhelmed by the sheer number of shoes. Its like being in a buffet seeing all that food and all of a sudden, you lose your appetite.

Since our slacks was khaki-colored, black wasn't an appealing option. It had to be either cream or brown. I must say black shoes are very common. In fact, if we were going to buy black shoes, we would've finished sooner. But since it was a different color, we ended up scouring all of the racks trying this and that. What made our choice even more difficult to find is the fact that at work, "slip ons" aren't allowed. You know, the kind where there's no back thingy....hehehehe. I can't describe it except in that way.

Anyways, since our goal was to find a pair of shoes, I knew I had to decide what I wanted. I didn't want to waste an entire afternoon with a fruitless search. So, I finally settled on a pair of dark brown shoes with a "buckle" to make it more stylish instead of just the plain one. I wanted to buy another pair of shoes. One that I called, "something I like" instead of something required at work. Unfortunately, there was no smaller size available. Dang it!!! Sometimes, it doesn't pay to have small feet. But I haven't lost hope yet. I will go there again and find a pair of shoes that I will find comfy to wear and one that fits my budget too.

June is...

the beginning of the school year

the start of classes
