According to my sister, I am not in my "Keane" phase. I don't have most of their songs but I do have their songs, about 5 - 6 or more. I don't know, didn't bother counting.

Night Out with girls...

After work last night, I decided to go to Ms. Mems' place. I wasn't planning too, I dind't even promise her that I would. The day was quite long, with going to school and then going to work from 5 - 7. But I was lucky and got home early. I had time to catch a two hour nap, a late lunch and before you knew it, time for me to change so I could go to work.

It was the usual at work...I don't want to say anything as much as possible when it comes to work...yah know...

We finished by 7 pm and I thought about whether I was going to Mem's place. And I decided at the last minute to go. After all, my place is quite close to where she lives. Figured I should at least make an appearance. I texted her to tell her I was on my way. I passed by 7-11 to buy a bubbly drink, I was thinking of buying Coke but thought I miss my bubbly so I settled for another drink, which is just as refreshing.

There wasn't any traffic so I arrived at her place after a few minutes. She met me at the entrance of the "village" where she lives. She was going to cook dinner...yipee!!!! What can I say? Mems is a great cook...and I'm not joking. She is after all an HRM graduate. Am I right Mems?

In betweeng chatting, I would watch TV, Channel 7 since there was no other channel. Finally, the food was ready and we had dinner. The topics of conservation was quite varied...hehehehehe. Certainly not for the fain-hearted. We also talked about people who weren't there...hint, hint...Laryh, Ella, Papot...lol.

At about 9 pm, I think, Laryh arrived. Papot arrived too...as usual, it was quite funny with people talking at the same time, in between watching what was on TV.

I left at around 10:30 pm just as they were about to buy drinks. I wanted to stay but I've had a long day, and the previous day, I had slept around 2 am trying to incorporate changes into my thesis. Maybe next time guys....as soon as I finally free with the paper.

O is for October....

October...brings us closer to December...hehehehe. Before you know it, it'll be All Saints and All Souls day and even much much closer to Christmas. Carollers will be all over the place.

O is also for Octoberfest. I am sure all those beer guzzlers are rejoicing from the kegs of beer and parties sponsored by beer companies. I heard one in the radio, that is acutally from 6 - 9 am. Yeah, seriously....that early. I'm sure people will be there too...they probably won't bother going home and just move on to the next party.

O is also for the Lanzones Festival. If you're in the Mindanao area, you'd be familiar with this. Camiguin Island (which is a beautiful place to visit) is known for its very very sweet lanzones. Well, I can't remember tasting them...but they're supposedly very sweet that even before they're harvested, black ants are swarming over them because of their sweetness. Hmmm...they say that its a sign that the lazones you're buying is sweet if black ants are there...well, can't really attest to that fact.

O also means my friends, Rose and Madz will celebrate their birthdays. Rose celebrated hers yesterday, October 14. Happy happy birthday Rose!!!! The future nurse of the country...hehehehe. I'll greet you Madz at another time....and to Miss Mems also. Thanks for the fishball and the panict malabon and the special treat you gave us. It was really delicious!!!

O is also for Halloween...hopefully, no one will play a trick on me and I get a treat from someone...hehehehe. Hint*hint*hint...

A Little Busy

It's been awhile (again) since I last updated my blog. I supposedly have more time since I finished my thesis...well, not that much.

October is also the busiest month at work with the week long International Week celebration...with more activities for us to organize and do. Oh well, that's life. On top of that, I still have to incorporate changes into my thesis before I have it checked again and printed in final form for reproduction and then, if I am really lucky, have them in hard bound copies.

Today was the first time in two weeks that I went back to grad school. It didn't realy feel much different. I only worry then was that my ID also expired with the end of the trimester and since I am re-enrolling, I will have to get a visitor's pass. Yeah, something trivial.

So, I had no choice but to leave the copy of my paper with the grad school secreatry. I also left a note. Normally, I wait for the program director but I couldn't since I have to go to work from 5 - 7 pm.

Another week of waiting for the paper. But at least after the 21st, its the start of the semestral break...Yess!!!!!

Okay, better hold my horses...still, something to look forward to...definitely.
